Van Halen Parts Ways With Warner Bros. Records

Van Halen has “amicably parted company” with Warner Bros. Records, the only label it has ever recorded for. A spokesperson for the legendary hard-rock band confirmed to LAUNCH that the split happened about a month ago. As for what Van Halen has planned, the spokesperson told us, “Only they know at this point.”

The group’s former representative at the label declined to comment on the situation.

The band’s first release on Warner Bros. was 1978’s Van Halen. Over the next 20 years the band released 11 studio albums with three different lead singers (David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar, and Gary Cherone), as well as a greatest-hits set and a live album.
