Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker, And Willa Ford Wave Six Flags

Modern rock outfits Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker, and pop artist Willa Ford have lent their fame to help promote the Six Flags theme parks. The artists will appear in a series of television advertisements hyping the parks, each performing their own songs.

For its spot, Sugar Ray performs “Fly,” while Kracker and Ford offer new versions of their songs-“Keep It Coming” and “I Wanna Be Bad,” respectively-with lyrics altered to better support the advertising campaign. “The song fit,” Kracker says. “It’s an uptempo song and a feel-good song and it goes along with the feel-good Six Flags theme park.”

The spots featuring Kracker and Ford also find the artists appearing first as park employees-Kracker as a landscaper and Ford as a candy-store clerk. Ford offers, “During my song, I rip the little candy girl outfit off and I become Willa Ford and I am obviously in my black boots and little black jumpsuit.

Also, as part of the campaign, Sugar Ray will perform at seven of the Six Flags parks during the summer, including Friday (May 18) at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell. Among the other shows currently scheduled are those at parks in the Texas cities of San Antonio (May 24), Houston (May 25), and Arlington (May 26), and in Jackson, New Jersey (June 8).

Others appearing in commercials include Angela Via, Simple Plan, Beth Hart, La Ley, Titiyo, and Lina.
