RCS To Provide Software Tools To Kickworks

RCS, one of the leading software and broadcast tools providers for radio, has inked a deal with newcomer Kickworks, a network of amateur webcasters set to launch later this year. RCS will provide an array of software tools from its suite of broadcast products that includes RCS Selector music scheduling and RCS Master Control digital automation system.

This sophisticated software combination allows users to merge all of the individual audio elements common to every music station (songs, commercials, DJ banter, and recorded announcements), allowing users to create completely personalized radio stations. RCS and Kickworks will create an extensive digital music library so that users can choose from more than 200,000 songs.

Matt Hackett, chief executive officer of Kickworks says, “With the RCS tools allowing users easy ways to add their own voices to the programming, there are no limits to what kind of content is possible. We envision people creating radio programs of every conceivable type by mixing together music, their voices, and their personalities.”

“We’ve seen this opportunity on the horizon for a few years,” adds Philippe Generali, president of RCS. “We’re excited that Kickworks is joining with RCS to make this new dimension of Internet broadcasting possible. Kickworks’ model blends the old and the new with the user in mind.”
