RadioVoodoo Adds VP Of Programming

RadioVoodoo, producers of interactive radio programming and supporting software systems, today announced that radio vet Dave Hill will join the company as vice president of programming. Hill was most recently PD for Regent Communications’ WQBK-Albany. Prior to that, Hill held programming positions with Clear Channel stations in Hartford and Atlanta.

“Dave Hill is a very talented program director with a clear understanding of the promise of interactive radio, and I am thrilled to have him on board,” said J. Scott Hamilton, president and chief executive of RadioVoodoo. “He’ll play a key role in helping us continue the development of our interactive radio products, ensuring our technology and programming are precisely those that stations need to cost-effectively give their audience a voice in on-air programming,” Hamilton said.

“I have watched RadioVoodoo as they have rapidly evolved from a great idea into what I am certain is the next big thing in radio,” said Hill. “Stale, format-driven programming is alienating listeners,” Hill continued, “but with RadioVoodoo, the industry now has the tools to creatively involve their audience.”

In what amounts to being reverse audience research and call-out testing, the company’s technology allows stations capture audience requests, song preferences, contest entries, and listener opinion polls by forwarding existing listener lines to the system, which insures that every call is answered, every request taken, and every vote tallied.
