No Doubt's 'Rock Steady' Top Debut This Week

No Doubt’s Rock Steady is the highest debut this week on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album entered in at Number Nine with sales of more than 254,000 copies in its first week, according to sources.

No Doubt drummer Adrian Young admits to LAUNCH that he craves such success on the charts. Still, he says, his goals are farther reaching these days. “Numbers and selling a lot of records, that stuff is pretty important still. I would be a liar if I said it wasn’t,” he says. “We want to sell a lot of records and we want to play big places around the world. On a personal level though, I’m having a baby in February and at this point that’s more important than lots of records. Hopefully I get to have both.”

Meanwhile, “Hey Baby,” the first single from Rock Steady, rises 16 spots to Number 36 on the current Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
