New Rob Zombie Album, The Sinister Urge, Drop November 13

With The Sinister Urge, master of musical monster mayhem Rob Zombie returns with his first album since 1998’s Hellbilly Deluxe, which debuted in the Top 5 and became his best selling album to date, certified triple platinum. The Sinister Urge (Geffen Records), released November 13, 2001, features guest appearances by Ozzy Osbourne, Tommy Lee, Slayer guitarist Kerry King, DJ Lethal and Beastie Boys DJ – Mix Master Mike. Zombie and Ozzy will launch a co-headlining tour, with each presenting their full stage show, starting on Halloween.

Says Zombie: “My goal was to make a big, lush, live sounding hard rock album, reminiscent of the albums I grew up listening to. Musically it is not a radical departure, but it is definitely more melodic and straight to the point. I wanted it to play as an album from start to finish, not just a bunch of songs strung together.”

The Sinister Urge, was produced by Scott Humphrey and Zombie, and the first single/video is “Feel So Numb.” Among other stand out tracks are “Dead Girl Superstar,” “Never Gonna Stop” (now featured on WWF as Edge’s theme song) and “House Of 1000 Corpses” (the title song of the to-be-released movie that Zombie wrote and directed) and the Ozzy-aided “Iron Head.”

Also contributing are Zombie regulars Riggs on guitar, Blasko on bass and Tempesta on drums.
