Limp Bizkit Won't Rush, Durst Wants Timeless Music

Limp Bizkit is taking its time finding a guitarist because it wants to make the follow-up to Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water count. Durst revealed about finding chemistry and creating music that will not be outdated. “The word ‘timeless,’ [means] music that you know can stand the test of time. People who know what that means know that we’re not making it right now…We want to be able to touch people emotionally, a whole new set of people, a whole new generation of people.”

Durst added about being timeless: “You can’t really project that unless you’re a little bit older. It’s hard to. I’m a little bit older and I can think back to 10 or 15 years ago, what I was listening to and think what I still like today and what reminds me of the past. Or [music that] still did something for me emotionally back then, but now, it’s like, ‘Whoa, wow, I used to listen to that all the time. I can’t even listen to it anymore,’ that type of thing.”

Durst indicated that there would be no timetable as to finding a replacement for departed guitarist Wes Borland.
