Kid Rock Struts Back Into the Spotlight With "COCKY''

Clarkston Chophouse/Lava/Atlantic Records has announced the upcoming release of “COCKY,” the long-awaited new album from Kid Rock. The much-anticipated follow-up to 1998’s ten million-selling “DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE” is due in stores on November 20th.

“COCKY” finds Kid Rock doing what he does best, stirring up a multitude of musical styles into his own unique brand of rock n’ roll – the very same sonic assault that blew up radio and MTV with such hits as “Bawitdaba,” “Cowboy,” “Only God Knows Why,” and “American Bad Ass.”

“Forever,” the bombastic first single from “COCKY,” is set to impact at multi-format radio outlets nationwide on October 22nd. A companion video clip is currently in production.

Recorded in Detroit at Kid Rock’s Clarkston Chophouse studio, “COCKY” includes such larger-than-life arena anthems as “Forever,” “What I Learned Out On The Road,” and “Lonely Road of Faith.” The self-produced collection features backing from Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker band, along with special guest shots from Sheryl Crow and Snoop Dogg.

“COCKY” is Kid Rock’s third label release, following last year’s RIAA triple-platinum certified “THE HISTORY OF ROCK,” and 1998’s mega-successful “DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE,” which earned the RIAA’s prestigious Diamond Award for U.S. sales in excess of ten million copies.
