Janet Jackson's New Single, "Someone To Call My Lover,'' Hits Radio Stations Nationwide

After exploding onto the charts with the release of “All for You,” one of the highest debuting singles in Billboard’s single Soundscan history that held the No. 1 slot on the Hot 100 for seven weeks, Janet Jackson is gearing up to release her second single, “Someone to Call My Lover,” from the already multi-platinum album, All For You.

The second single comes on the heels of “All For You,” a groundbreaking song which was added to every Radio & Record reporting CHR/Pop, CHR/Rhythmic, and Urban format station in its first week, a history-making feat never before accomplished by any recording artist. All For You, produced by Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Janet debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, with the highest-selling week of her career. In addition, the album has already sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide.

Janet’s new video debuted on MTV’s TRL and BET this week and was directed by Francis Lawrence. Jackson’s current video “All For You” remains in the No. 1 position at VH1.

Janet Jackson’s ‘All For You Tour 2001’ has quickly become one of the hottest concert events of the year. Jackson will kick-off her 56-city tour on July 5th at Vancouver’s GM Place and will close on October 13th in Denver at Colorado’s Pepsi Center Arena. The tour will also see a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold going to support the education, leadership and arts programs provided by the more than 2,800 Boys & Girls Clubs, which serve some 3.3 million children and teens nationwide.
