Janet Jackson Announces 'All For You Tour 2001'

Janet Jackson’s ‘All For You Tour 2001’ has quickly become one of the hottest concert events of the year.

New York, Chicago, Washington and Boston have already registered multiple sell-outs and with more performances still to be added to the tour itinerary to meet ticket demand, Janet today announced the launch of a nationwide campaign to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The tour, named after her 8th album, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, will see a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold going to support the education, leadership and arts programs provided by the more than 2,800 Boys & Girls Clubs which serve some 3.3 million children and teens nationwide. The Clubs focus primarily on young people from disadvantaged circumstances.

“These children are our future,” said Janet. “I am just so proud to be involved with helping such a wonderful organization that not only looks after, but nurtures, educates and enriches the lives of so many.”

“We are very fortunate to have such a multi-talented and high-profile artist as Janet Jackson supporting our mission,” said Roxanne Spillett, President, Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “The increased awareness she will bring to our cause, along with her generous financial contribution, will help us reach an even greater number of young people in search of hope and opportunity.”

Set to launch on July 5th, at Vancouver’s 16,000-seat GM Place, the tour will include nearly 60 performances in North America, running through October 13th in Denver, Colorado’s Pepsi Center before heading to Europe for 25 shows in ten countries.
