James Taylor Offers Fans A Limited Edition Three-Song Sampler

Grammy-Award winning artist James Taylor, who’s Summer Tour 2001 “Pull Over” kicked-off last week, is offering fans and concert goers a rare opportunity to receive a limited edition three-song sampler. This free limited addition disc will contain an as of yet unreleased track from Taylor’s forthcoming release and will only be available at “Pull Over” concert dates, Borders and on the web at www.yahoo.com.

The limited edition three-song sampler will include a previously unreleased song “(I’ve Got To) Stop Thinkin’ ‘Bout That,” which was recorded on May 30, 1998, when James Taylor and his band took the stage of New York’s Beacon Theatre for an extraordinary concert of greatest hits, personal favorites, and live surprises. This song has never before been released on CD. The sampler will also include “Song For You Far Away” which is featured on the newly released, Greatest Hits Volume 2 as well as a sneak peak at a new song “Caroline I See You,” from the forthcoming James Taylor release due out this fall. The sampler, which can be obtained with the purchase of merchandise at any of the “Pull Over” tour dates can also be used to receive a $2.00 discount when purchasing James Taylor’s Greatest Hits Vol. 2 at any Borders locations.

James Taylor’s Summer Tour 2001 – “Pull Over” is set to hit the road this summer with more then 50 anticipated dates across the United States, marking the first time that Taylor has toured with his band in nearly three years. The tour will include musical highlights from Taylor’s illustrious career – songs that just this past year helped to place him in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Over the course of his career, James Taylor has earned 40 gold, platinum, and multi-platinum awards for a timeless catalog running from 1970’s Sweet Baby James to 1997’s Hourglass to 1998’s platinum-selling Live At The Beacon Theatre DVD/VHS release. Taylor’s first Greatest Hits album earned him the RIAA’s newly-created Diamond Award, given for sales in excess of 10 million units in the United States. For his extraordinary achievements, James Taylor has been honored with the 1998 Century Award, Billboard magazine’s highest accolade, bestowed for distinguished creative achievement.
