Platinum teen superstar Billy Gilman makes a return appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly on June 1st to perform his new single “She’s My Girl,” from his sophomore Epic Nashville album Dare To Dream.
Released on May 8th Dare To Dream debuted in the Top 10 on the Country Album Charts and has already shipped Gold. Gilman first performed the new single on the CBS presentation of The 36th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which is the second year in a row he has appeared on the show.
With it’s sentimental ballads and lively melodies, Dare To Dream shows a new lyrical and vocal maturity from this young superstar. In the past year alone, the Grammy-nominated artist has won four Billboard Music Video Awards, an American Music Award and made history as the youngest artist ever to hit Billboard’s country singles sales chart. The teen was the top selling debut country artist in 2000, actually out selling all other debut country artists combined.
In addition to his performance on Live with Regis & Kelly, Gilman is set to perform for President and First Lady Bush at the 21st Annual “An American Celebration At Ford’s Theater,” a live event to be broadcast June 10th on ABC. Internet savvy fans can chat online with the teenager when he hits Nickelodeon’s website on June 12th at 6pm (eastern). Gilman’s fans can also catch him in-person when he appears at country music’s largest annual event, Fan Fair 2001, where he’ll perform on the Sony show Thursday, June 14th at Adelphia Coliseum in Nashville.
