AOL Brings The 'MADONNA DROWNED WORLD TOUR 2001' To Life Online

On the eve of Madonna’s sold-out, three-month North American tour, America Online, the world’s leading interactive services company, will be offering AOL members a “Madonna All-Access” pass for the ultimate look at her first U.S. tour in eight years.

From previously unreleased photos and concert footage to music, videos and more, AOL Music will give fans a one-of-a-kind window on the MADONNA DROWNED WORLD TOUR 2001. The tour which features material selected from her current multi-platinum CD, MUSIC, as well as signature songs spanning the length of her incredible career already wowed European fans with Madonna’s costumes, her choreography and even her guitar chops.

Each week for the next five weeks, AOL’s MADONNA DROWNED WORLD TOUR 2001 sweepstakes will fly one weekly Grand Prize winner and a friend on an outing to see the “Queen of Pop” in concert when she touches down in one of five U.S. cities beginning August 10th in Washington, D.C. AOL, in conjunction with Bhakti Tours, Madonna’s touring company, is sponsoring the MADONNA DROWNED WORLD TOUR 2001. Through this innovative relationship, and AOL’s alliance with Ticketmaster, AOL was the first to offer its members advance tickets to U.S. shows before they went on sale. The promotion resulted in the sale of tens of thousands of MADONNA DROWNED WORLD TOUR 2001 tickets, which were sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

AOL will be with the MADONNA DROWNED WORLD TOUR 2001 every step of the way. Through onsite promotions at concert venues, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about AOL and the interactive medium. America Online will also be prominently displayed in the Madonna tour book.
