Warner Music Group Names Janine Richardson VP, Special Events

Warner Music Group (WMG) announced today that Janine Richardson has been promoted to vice president, special events. Richardson has been the Music Group’s senior director, special events, since 2000. As such, she has been responsible for managing the companies’ participation in industry special events, philanthropic activities and related programs. Based in New York, Richardson will continue to report to Dawn Bridges, WMG’s senior vice president, corporate communications.

In making the announcement, Bridges said, “For years, Janine has served as Warner Music’s ambassador to the music industry and its numerous charitable organizations. She brings such a wealth of experience, class and fresh vision to her work that we are privileged to have her as part of our Corporate Communications team.”

Richardson represents WMG in a variety of initiatives including the Music Group’s Echo Program and employee Matching Grant Program. She also serves as the WMG team captain for the AIDS Walk and NY Cares Day.

Richardson joined WMG in 1992 as an assistant in the Group and External Relations department and has been promoted four times before being named to her current position. Prior to joining the company, Richardson spent five years as a manager in the training center at Swiss Bank Corporation in New York. She holds a BA degree from the University of Exeter in Devon, England.
