Indie-dance rock sensation The Eiffels makes a triumphant return with their latest single, their first of 2024, “Beautiful Life.” Epitomizing the concept that life’s beauty resides in its smallest moments, the track takes listeners on a journey through a state of alcohol-induced euphoria. According to frontman Sean Ulbs, “Beautiful Life” captures the playful essence of the good times and carefree abandon.

In addition to unveiling their new single, The Eiffels sat down with idobi Radio to discuss the creative process behind “Beautiful Life,” the emotions they aimed to capture, and more. Immerse yourself in the infectious energy of “Beautiful Life,” and dive into the exclusive interview below. The track arrives across all streaming platforms tomorrow, Wednesday, April 3.

When writing and recording “Beautiful Life,” what was your primary inspiration?

It started with just having fun and tinkering around with some new guitar effects. I started playing what would be the song’s baseline. I liked the energy of it and decided to try a guitar riff over it with another new guitar setting. Those two elements became what would really be the foundation of the song.

Can you describe the creative process behind writing and recording “Beautiful Life”?

After getting the fundamentals of the music, I recorded a quick demo of the vocal at home. I was tempering my volume to not bother anyone. I liked how the vocal sounded and ended up keeping that relaxed character for the final recording.

We recorded the track with our great friend and longtime collaborator, Ethan Kaufmann. It was a lot of fun and we found various ways to bring it to the next level.

Did you face any challenges while creating the track?

Thankfully, this was one of those tracks where each addition really seemed to fall into place. We liked it as a standout early on. Once the basis of the instrumentation and the lyrics were there, everything else came quickly. I like to think you can feel that spirit of casualness in the lightness of the track.

What emotions were you aiming to capture across the track?

The nostalgia of life’s more simple pleasures and fun. There was a conscious effort to steer away from “big” milestone moments that you might expect from a song called “Beautiful Life.” I tried to stick to more casual carefree joys.

Were there any particular experiences or events in your life that influenced the lyrics that you can share?

Definitely. The lyrics are like flipping through some of my favorite memories with friends, traveling and touring, partying, etc.

How do you imagine listeners will connect with “Beautiful Life” on a personal level?

Hopefully, in whatever way makes them feel like life can be beautiful. There’s something to “The best things in life are free” and appreciating the little things.

Is there anything additional you’d like to share or add?

Thanks for having us. Appreciate the recent idobi Radio interviews with Eddie, Jason, and Fish. It was fun catching up, considering idobi premiered some of our first releases. Keep in touch with The Eiffels this year. We have new videos, shows, and more new music on the way!

Sending our love and thanks for all the support!
